This is a stylized Digivice fan art based on one of the iconic digital pet devices from the early 2000s. These devices were part of the same handheld toy culture as Tamagotchi, and I wanted to recreate that nostalgic feeling through a real-time 3D asset.
The piece was inspired by my own original device, which, surprisingly, still works after all these years. I used it as a personal reference to capture the proportions, shapes, materials, and retro toy aesthetic of the object.
The base model was created in Blender, textured in Substance 3D Painter, and rendered in Unity HDRP, focusing on real-time lighting, material response, and a polished portfolio presentation. I also used Aseprite to create the pixel art animation displayed on the device screen, reinforcing the retro digital pet feeling of the piece.
